Pocketpair urges new save files for Palworld 1.0 launch, adds level guide

Pocketpair released Palworld version 1.0 on 10 July 2026, ending more than two‑and‑a‑half years of early‑access development. The Japanese studio advises players to begin a fresh save file for the full release, noting that extensive overhauls to core systems, story progression, and new mechanics mean a new playthrough offers the intended narrative experience. Existing saves remain compatible but may skip key introductions such as the World Tree storyline and rebalanced early‑game tutorials.

A companion guide lists the recommended player levels for every area in the new version. Early islands such as Forgotten Island and Ice Wind Island are suited to levels 1‑10, while mid‑game zones like Frostbound Mountains require 20‑30. The end‑game World Tree region demands levels 75‑80+, reflecting its heightened difficulty. The guide helps players avoid under‑leveled encounters across the expanded map.

These updates include new regions, additional Pals to discover, water‑based building options, and extensive rebalancing of Pal scaling, all intended to enhance the exploration and progression experience for both new and returning players.
