POCO announces upcoming X8 and F9 smartphone series launches
Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO has announced upcoming launches for two distinct smartphone series: the X8 and the F9.
The POCO X8 series, specifically the X8 Power 5G, is scheduled to debut in India on September 4. The X8 Power is highlighted by a massive 10,000 mAh battery designed to provide up to 3.5 days of power. It is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 platform.
The flagship POCO F9 series, including the F9 Pro and F9 Ultra, is set for a global launch on September 1, with specific availability in regions like Spain and Hong Kong. Both models will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The F9 Ultra is expected to feature an 8,050 mAh battery, a 200 MP main camera, and a 185 Hz AMOLED display. The F9 Pro will use a slightly modified V-series version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which features a reduced GPU scale compared to the standard version.
Pre-order campaigns for the F9 series in certain markets include incentives such as discount coupons, extended warranties, and subscriptions to services like YouTube Premium and Spotify.
