POCO prepares flagship F9 series and M8x 5G launch

POCO is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with several new releases. Leaks regarding the flagship F9 series suggest the POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The F9 Pro is expected to have a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and a 6,330mAh battery, while the Ultra model may feature a larger 6.85-inch display and an 8,050mAh battery. Both models are anticipated to support 100W fast charging and high-resolution cameras, including a 200MP main sensor.

In the budget segment, the POCO M8x 5G is confirmed for an India launch on August 21, 2026, via Flipkart. While earlier rumors suggested a MediaTek Dimensity processor, official information from Flipkart indicates the device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC. The M8x 5G is expected to be positioned in the sub-20,000 Rupee price bracket, targeting the entry-level 5G market.
