Poconé opens renovated Dom Galibert Municipal Library

The Dom Galibert Municipal Library in Poconé has opened a newly renovated headquarters, featuring improved infrastructure and digital resources. The project was made possible through the mediation of the 1st Prosecution Office of Poconé, led by prosecutor Mário Anthero Silveira de Souza Bueno Schober.

Funding for the renovation and structural adaptation was secured via the Projects and Entities Bank (Bapre) through Conduct Adjustment Agreements (TACs). These resources, derived from penalties and adequacy agreements, were redirected to strengthen public infrastructure in the municipality.

The new facility includes air-conditioned environments, improved lighting, and dedicated spaces for individual and group study. To promote digital inclusion, the library has installed workstations equipped with computers for academic research and internet access. The space also features an updated collection of textbooks, children's literature, and general reading materials to support students and the local community.
