Pod Prisкритие returns with sixth season on BNT

The cult Bulgarian television series ‘Pod Prisкритие’ has returned for its sixth season on BNT after a ten-year hiatus. The premiere event at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia saw approximately 8,000 fans attend two official screenings, marking a rare instance where a television production sold out the venue's largest hall for two consecutive nights.

The new season consists of 12 episodes and aims to meet modern cinematic standards by increasing production scale and focusing more on psychological drama and social themes. Executive producer Magardzh Magardzhiev noted the intention to move the production closer to film quality to compete with modern streaming platforms. The plot is expected to explore themes of corruption and the connections between power, money, and crime.

Director Viktor Bozhinov and Dimitar Mitovski emphasized the responsibility of returning to such a significant franchise. The season officially began broadcasting on BNT on October 10 and is scheduled to air every Saturday at 22:00.
