Poddębice hosts National Reading event featuring Adam Mickiewicz

The Poddębice County Public Library hosted a reading of Adam Mickiewicz’s “Dziady” as part of the National Reading initiative. This nationwide campaign, established in 2012 by the President of Poland, aims to promote reading and strengthen national identity through classic literature.

During the event, eighth-grade students from Primary School No. 1 in Poddębice served as readers, performing selected passages of the work. The gathering included various local officials and educators, serving as an opportunity to engage the younger generation with significant works of Polish literature.
