PODEGY raises questions over Action Plan 2 costs in Greece

The Federation of Greek Agricultural Inspectors (PODEGY) has raised concerns regarding the financial implications and planning of 'Action Plan 2', a reform initiative related to OPEKEPE. The federation highlights that official fiscal documents from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) now explicitly link expenditures to the intensification of works for the second action plan.

Specifically, on October 21, 2026, the Governor of AADE approved a programmatic contract with the Agricultural University of Athens with a total budget of 206,000 euros. PODEGY is questioning the transparency of these decisions, the role of the Government Vice Presidency in the planning process, and the potential long-term costs to taxpayers. The federation has called for clarity on which contracts and funding have been approved and the criteria used to select specific actions and partnerships.
