Podemos launches primary processes for municipal elections in Galicia

Podemos has activated internal primary processes across Spain for upcoming regional and municipal elections. In Galicia, the party has opened procedures in several cities and municipalities.

In the province of Pontevedra, Lucas Meda has emerged as a pre-candidate for Vilagarcía, while Mari Camiña is leading the process in Sanxenxo. In Vigo, the lists are headed by Luz Calia Miramontes and Óscar Lomba, who leads the ‘OLA’ (Organización, Loita e Acción) candidacy.

Other active processes include A Coruña (Aitor Neira), Lugo (Ximena Cheda), and Santiago de Compostela (Javier García), as well as Laxe (Fernando del Moral), Arteixo (Carlos Nogueira), and Padrón (Belén Angueira). The party schedule dictates that lists will be published on September 30, reaffirmed on October 2, and voting will take place between October 5 and October 11, with results expected on October 13.
