The political party Podemos is preparing for the 2027 elections by defining its process for selecting autonomous and municipal candidacies. The party's State Citizen Council is set to approve the regulations for primary elections this weekend.

In the Balearic Islands, Ana Rosa Abejón, the secretary of Feminism and LGTBI, has been selected to lead the list for the Parlament representing Mallorca. This follows the decision by Lucía Muñoz, the coordinator in the Balearic Islands, not to head the autonomous candidacy. While Muñoz has declined the regional leadership role, it is anticipated she may lead the candidacy for the Palma City Council.

Podemos is positioning itself as a leading force for the left in the Balearic Islands. Additionally, Irene Montero is expected to head the list for the Congress in Madrid.
