The Assembly of the Capital City - Podgorica has launched a public call to nominate candidates for the commission responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Velje brdo project. The commission will include six members representing non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The allocation of NGO seats is specialized: three members will be proposed by organizations focused on architecture, urbanism, and spatial planning, while one member each will be proposed by NGOs specializing in environmental protection, tenant rights, and public finance.

The commission is tasked with evaluating the project's impact on housing availability for socially vulnerable groups, young couples, and tenants. It will also analyze the project's effect on the local real estate market and the capital city's budget regarding utility infrastructure costs. Additionally, the commission will monitor technical feasibility, environmental impact, legal relations, and alignment with other major infrastructure projects, such as the Smokovac-Farmaci highway section.
