Podgorica begins 2.4 million euro Veljko Vlahović Boulevard extension

The City of Podgorica has officially commenced construction on an 800-meter extension of Veljko Vlahović Boulevard. The project represents a 2.4 million euro investment aimed at improving traffic connectivity and reducing congestion.

Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović stated that the new road section will connect Veljko Vlahović Boulevard with Josip Slade Boulevard. This infrastructure is intended to function as a new bypass for the city, specifically designed to divert transit traffic coming from the direction of Tuzi and the Božaj border crossing.

The project includes the installation of sewage and atmospheric drainage, sidewalk construction, and landscaping. The Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica is overseeing the works, which are being carried out by the contractor Crnagoraput.
