Balkan region sees widespread infrastructure and public works projects

Various regional infrastructure and public works projects are underway across the Balkans. In Montenegro, construction has begun on a new bridge over the Morača river in Podgorica, a seven million euro project intended to alleviate traffic congestion. Additionally, Podgorica officials noted the completion of road paving from Mokra to Širokara to support tourism and agriculture.

In Croatia, significant investments are being made in education, including a ten million euro expansion of two primary schools in the Beli Manastir area to allow for single-shift teaching. In Bjelovar, plans are moving forward to transform an old railway line into a pedestrian and bicycle zone.

Other notable developments include road infrastructure funding in the Zenica-Doboj Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the closure of the Carev Most in Sarajevo due to safety concerns regarding its historical structure, and various local municipal projects ranging from stream maintenance in Vršac, Serbia, to school facility repairs in Serbia and Croatia.
