Podgorica hosts free outdoor ballet projections as part of cultural summer festival
The Secretariat for Culture of Podgorica, together with the French Institute and the French Embassy in Montenegro, organized two free outdoor ballet screenings on the plaza in front of the Petrovic Castle.
On July 1, a projection of the ballet “Cinderella” ("Pepeljuga") was presented, featuring Rudolf Nureyev’s choreography set to Sergei Prokofiev’s music and a Hollywood‑era visual theme. The following night, July 2, the program showcased three works – George Balanchine’s “Who Cares?”, Maurice Ravel’s “Boléro” as interpreted by Maurice Bejdar, and Kristal Pait’s “The Seasons’ Canon” set to Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”. Both events were open to the public at no charge and formed part of the Podgoričko kulturno ljeto (Podgorica Cultural Summer) festival.
