Podgorica Hosts Youth Water Jump Cup to Boost Sport and Tourism

The Youth Cup in water jumps took place on the Cijevni River, launching the "Summer on Rivers" campaign organized by the Tourist Organization of Podgorica. Ten young jumpers performed two jumps each, judged on reflection, calm flight and water entry. The event was created in cooperation with the Sports‑Recreational Club Vezir and celebrated Montenegrin diver Evald Krnć, who also mentors the participants.

Director Dragan Grnović said the competition aims to popularize the sport, promote Podgorica’s rivers and give exposure to the next generation of athletes. Prize money of €1,500, €1,000 and €500 was awarded to the top three finishers. Further jumps are planned for 12 July at Amnia Beach on the Bioč River and 18 July on the Vezir Bridge, with guest diver Orlando Duke set to appear.
