Podgorica launches new urban planning agency and Fair Center project

Podgorica has established a new Agency for the Development of Local Planning Documents to oversee the city's future growth. The agency's primary task is the creation of the Spatial-Urban Plan for Podgorica, which will serve as the foundation for subsequent local plans. Officials state that planning will prioritize real community needs, including increased green spaces, parking, communal infrastructure, and accessible schools and kindergartens within residential neighborhoods.

In a related development, the Agency for the Construction and Development of Podgorica has contracted the firm Ing invest to create the main project for a new Fair and Congress Center. The contract, valued at 598,345 euros including VAT, includes a six-month timeline for project documentation. The center is intended to serve as a multifunctional public facility for exhibitions, conferences, and business events, located within the 'Agroindustrijska zona' area. The project will follow the 'Event Factory' concept originally designed by Turkish authors.
