Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović refuses to resign

Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović has announced that he will not resign from his position, citing his administration's concrete results and financial achievements as justification. He characterized the current political climate in the capital as a unique form of 'local cohabitation' following the emergence of a new majority in the City Assembly.

Mujović noted that the new majority was demonstrated during the election of Assembly President Srđan Perić and the unanimous rejection of the mayor's work report. While he expressed a willingness to cooperate with those who bring value to the city, he described the recent parliamentary session as 'political revanchism' aimed at undermining the city's functionality rather than evaluating factual results.

Regarding the city's budget, Mujović highlighted a capital budget realization of 65 million euros in 2025, noting that this figure excludes certain planned investments such as a wastewater treatment plant.
