Podgorica Open Paralympic Swimming Event Draws Regional Participants
The open para‑swimming championship, dubbed the Podgorica Open, will take place Saturday and Sunday at the outdoor pool of Sport Center Morača in Montenegro’s capital. Organized by the local club Mako for persons with disabilities and the Network for Youth Activism of Montenegro, the meet will feature swimmers from Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia‑and‑Herzegovina, Serbia and the host nation. The competition begins at 20:30 with a ceremony opening 15 minutes earlier, is held in cooperation with the Paralympic Committee and under the patronage of Mayor Darko Nikčević, and marks its first appearance on the International Paralympic Swimming Federation calendar.
