Podgorica Senior Park construction awaits subcontractor selection

Construction of the Senior Park in Block 9, located at the intersection of Vlada Ćetkovića, Jelene Ćetković, Rista Dragićevića, and Jovana Lipovca streets, has completed its preparatory phase. The company Zelenilo reported that initial works, including the removal of surface debris and soil and the fencing of the area, are finished.

A tender procedure is currently underway to select a subcontractor for the main construction works, with a conclusion expected next week. Once the subcontractor is appointed, active construction is slated to resume to meet the project timeline.

The approximately 3,000-square-meter site is designed to include facilities for all generations, such as a bocce court, an outdoor gym, a children's playground, and a quiet rest zone. The park will also feature trees, ornamental plants, park furniture, and an irrigation system. If the tender proceeds as planned and weather conditions remain favorable, the park is expected to open to citizens by February 2027.
