Podkarpacie to host Carpathian Drone Summit to advance autonomous technology

The Podkarpacie region is positioning itself as a European center for drone technology with the launch of the inaugural Carpathian Drone Summit on September 29-30. The event includes a Drone Showcase at the Stalowa Wola – Turbia Airport, featuring various unmanned systems including multi-rotors, VTOLs, detection systems, and ground-based drones.

The summit will feature 40 exhibitors at the Zen.com Expo in Jasionka, presenting technologies such as underwater drones, AI, sensors, and flight simulators. The program includes discussions on security, industry, and the role of institutions in developing autonomous technologies, featuring speakers such as former General Staff Chief Rajmund Andrzejczak and CEO Jacek Bartosiak. The event also aims to foster cooperation between business, administration, and security services through initiatives like the Dual Use Challenge and Dual Use Hackathon.
