Podkarpackie region supports Central Railway Corridor project

The Podkarpackie Voivodeship Sejmik has officially expressed support for the development of the Central Railway Corridor. The proposed route aims to connect Warsaw with Rzeszów via Radom, Starachowice, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Sandomierz, and Tarnobrzeg, with further extensions toward Krosno and Sanok.

Regional officials, including Vice-Marshal Karol Ożóg, emphasized that the project is essential for connecting the Podkarpackie region to the rest of Poland, supporting economic growth, and enhancing national security. The Sejmik has called upon the government, the Ministry of Infrastructure, and railway companies to include the entire corridor in the base network and to provide a realistic implementation schedule and funding sources.
