Podlaskie launches microgrant competition for community resilience

The ‘Moc Małych Społeczności – Podlaskie 2026’ competition has opened for applications, offering a total pool of 512,000 PLN to support local initiatives. The program targets small and medium-sized non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and informal groups operating in rural areas and small to medium-sized towns within the Podlaskie region.

Eligible applicants can receive microgrants ranging from 7,000 to 8,000 PLN. The primary objective is to build community resilience and local security, preparing residents for various crises such as energy outages, communication failures, extreme weather, or medical emergencies.

Proposed projects must include at least one component related to social resilience, local safety, or crisis response. Examples of eligible activities include purchasing Automated External Defibrillators (AED) combined with first aid training, conducting evacuation drills for people with disabilities, survival workshops, or developing local communication systems. Applications must be submitted via the WITKAC system between September 3 and September 17, 2026.
