Podor: High school student found dead in bag

The body of Aminata Sy, a 17-year-old senior student at El Hadji Baba Ndiongue High School, was discovered on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in the Lao Demba neighborhood of Podor. The victim, originally from the village of Ngawlé, had been reported missing since the previous day.

According to reports, the young woman's body was found tied up and enclosed in a bag near an uninhabited house close to the central market.
