Podstrana donates 30,000 euros for Vukovar stadium construction

The Municipality of Podstrana has donated 30,000 euros toward the construction of the ‘12 Croatian Policemen’ stadium in Vukovar. According to the Mayor of Vukovar, this represents the largest single donation from a municipality in the ongoing fundraising campaign for the project.

Podstrana is the 79th local government unit to contribute to the initiative. Beyond sports, officials noted that the donation carries symbolic weight due to the historical ties between the two regions established during the Homeland War, when many refugees from Vukovar resided in Podstrana.
