Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia conduct narcotics raids and arrests

Law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have conducted several operations targeting narcotics and criminal activity.

In Sarajevo, police arrested two men following the seizure of approximately 12 kilograms of drugs, including amfetamine, cannabis, and cocaine, along with a firearm. In Banja Luka, three individuals were arrested during the ‘Trener’ operation, which resulted in the seizure of four kilograms of marijuana, hashish, and a drug production laboratory.

A legal investigation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is also examining the import of chemical precursors through Sarajevo Airport, with allegations that two tons of substances used to produce crystal meth were imported over two years.

In Croatia, police in Čakovec fined a woman €1,000 for possession of synthetic cannabinoids. In Zagreb, a 44-year-old man was arrested in the Maksimir district with over 50 grams of cocaine. Additionally, a group of young men in Zagreb is suspected of stealing approximately 290 bottles of perfume valued at over €40,000.

Other incidents include a 63-year-old man in Požega being arrested for brandishing a knife on a train, and a woman in Prokuplje being attacked by a pack of stray dogs.
