Požega opens renovated City Bowling Alley

The city of Požega has officially opened its renovated City Bowling Alley, a modern six-lane arena designed to host both domestic and international competitions. The reconstruction project cost over 160,000 euros, with approximately 107,000 euros provided by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the remainder covered by the City of Požega.

Originally built in 1969 through the contributions of local craftsmen, the facility has a bowling tradition in the city dating back to 1934. The modernized venue now includes additional assembly stands for spectators and aims to serve a wide range of users, including children, recreational players, and professional athletes.

The renovation is expected to have significant economic and tourism impacts, as Požega has already been selected to host the prestigious European Cup in 2028. To celebrate the opening, a review match was held featuring the local club Nove nade against KK Zadar and KK Zaprešić.
