Požega‑Slavonia County urged to issue transparent business grant tenders

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Požega‑Slavonia County called on county prefect Antonija Jozić (HDZ) to publish transparent tenders for economic and agricultural support, with clearly defined scoring criteria and application deadlines. SDP parliamentary representative Martina Vlašić Iljkić said the 200,000‑euro business‑grant competition last year was open for only two hours, preventing many entrepreneurs from applying, and urged its cancellation and re‑issuance under fair rules.

The party also raised concerns about a recent internet fraud that cost the county several hundred thousand euros, the handling of a composting plant in Kutjevo, and a dispute with the NGO Mali princ over a planned centre for children with developmental difficulties. SDP asked the regional government and ministries to answer parliamentary questions on these matters.
