Poesia Festival concludes in Modena with Strega Poesia finalists

The XXII edition of the Poesia Festival is concluding at the Complesso San Paolo in Modena. The event features readings and conversations with prominent contemporary Italian poets Umberto Piersanti and Umberto Fiori.

On Sunday, September 27, the festival will host the five finalists of the 2026 Premio Strega Poesia: Carmen Gallo, Federico Italiano, Isabella Leardini, Fabrizio Lombardo, and Vincenzo Ostuni. This appearance serves as the final public event for the finalists before the award is presented.

The festival also includes the opening of the photographic exhibition ‘Sbarre’ by Marzia Lodi, curated by Fausto Ferri. The exhibition pays homage to Rainer Maria Rilke’s ‘The Panther’. Additionally, the event includes a tribute to the late artist and curator Giuliano della Casa.
