Poesia Festival to showcase new generation of Italian poets

The Poesia Festival in Vignola will host a special event titled ‘La meglio gioventù’ on Friday, August 28, at 21:00. Presented by Federico Carrera, the evening is dedicated to the new generation of Italian poetry.

The event features seven prominent young poets, including Jasmeen Kaur, Luca Chendi, Ali Abbadi Fatmi, Valentina Furlotti, Rebecca Garbin, Mikel Marin, and Silvia Righi. The poetry readings will be accompanied by musical performances from violist Maria Serena Salvemini-Molly and pianist Pietro Laera.

Among the featured poets is 16-year-old Jasmeen Kaur, who recently received the ‘Alfiere della Repubblica’ recognition from President Sergio Mattarella for her ability to express the introspective thoughts of her generation. Another featured poet, Luca Chendi, is an award-winning author whose works have been translated into multiple languages and included in international anthologies.
