Poesiæuropa announces 2027 poetry school in Italy

Poesiæuropa has issued a call for participation for its ninth edition, scheduled for June 1–4, 2027. The project aims to reflect on humanistic culture through poetry to reconsider spiritual and humanistic roots and build future visions.

The special school will be held at Isola Polvese in Lake Trasimeno, located in the Perugia province of Italy near the border of Umbria and Tuscany. The program will include masterclasses, dialogue forums, workshops, panels for scholarship winners, and readings.

Submissions for the 2027 edition are requested regarding specific thematic areas, including ‘Emotional Heritage: writing and architecture, a poetic co-creation of the world.’ This theme explores heritage as a connection between humans, history, and the environment, encompassing both material and intangible assets such as traditions, craftsmanship, and natural sites.
