Poet magazine launched to connect Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nordic literary cultures

A new multilingual literary magazine, Poet, has been launched to foster cultural and literary connections between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Nordic countries. Published by the non-profit association Daorson based in Skövde, Sweden, the journal aims to present authors and their works to a broader international audience.

Available in both print and digital formats, Poet publishes poetry, prose, essays, and interviews. The publication features content in the languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Greenlandic, Icelandic, and Finnish. The inaugural issue includes translations of poetry from several Bosnian authors, such as Željko Ivanković and Bisera Alikadić, alongside Nordic authors including Freke Räihä and Steinar Opstad.

Editor-in-chief Milena Rudež stated that the goal is to strengthen cultural exchange between the two regions. The editorial team includes Haris Tucaković, Sead Husić, Pontus Lindgren-Ciampi, Lidija Pavlović-Grgić, and Jørgen Christian Wind Nielsen.
