Poetic Matinee to be held at the Society of Writers of Macedonia

The Society of Writers of Macedonia will host ‘Poetic Matinee’ on Saturday, October 24, at 12:00 PM. This literary gathering is dedicated to authors from national communities creating in Macedonia, as well as authors who write in two or more languages.

The event aims to provide a space for dialogue regarding diverse literary experiences, languages, and poetics that enrich the local cultural environment. Participants include Vera Čornij-Meškova, Ljerka Tot-Naumova, Kaljoš Čeliku, Rifat Emin, Gordana Jović-Stojkovska, Ahmet Selmani, and Suzana V. Spasovska, with Seida Beganović serving as moderator.

The program will feature readings of original works followed by a panel discussion titled ‘Two homes – one language, two languages – one home’. This discussion will focus on the experiences of authors working across multiple linguistic and cultural environments, their place in the literary landscape, and strategies for increasing their visibility and affirmation.
