Poezija otpora wins top honors at 41st FIAT Festival

The 41st edition of the International Alternative Theatre Festival (FIAT) has concluded. The Belgian production ‘Poezija otpora’ (Poetry of Resistance) by Jan Fabre and Troubleyn was named the absolute winner, receiving four major awards: best overall artistic impression, best production, best direction, and best actor and actress (Csedric Charron and Anabelle Chambon).

A special jury award was presented to the production ‘Die Puppe – LUTKA’ from Poland and Kosovo, directed by Sylvie Lajbig and Piotr Wegrzynski, for its unique integration of sculpture, photography, and choreography. Additionally, Branko Mihajloski from North Macedonia’s Zlaten Elec theatre received the ‘Nikola Bošković’ award for best young actor for his performance in ‘Teorema’.

The jury, chaired by Sonja Vukićević, reached its decisions unanimously.
