POGEDY announces boycott of CAP 2028-2034 National Dialogue session

The Panhellenic Federation of Public Geotechnical Employees (POGEDY) has announced a total boycott of the 4th session of the National Dialogue for the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2028-2034. The event is scheduled for September 4, 2026, in Thessaloniki.

The federation cites two primary reasons for the escalation: the selection of the American Agricultural School as the event venue and the exclusion of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) Department of Agriculture from the speaker program. POGEDY claims the choice of venue serves as indirect advertising for the first licensed private agricultural university, noting that its licensing is currently under legal challenge in the Council of State.

As the technicians responsible for inspections, applications, and technical support for the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS), the federation's absence is expected to impact the substantive dialogue regarding national positions on subsidies for the 2028-2034 period.
