Poggibonsi implements 700,000 euro road maintenance plan

The municipality of Poggibonsi is executing an extraordinary road maintenance plan funded by a 700,000 euro investment. The program includes several phases of asphalting and infrastructure repair across various sectors of the city.

In the Calcinaia area, works began on September 2, targeting critical sections of via Senese parallel to via del Ponte Nuovo. This follows completed maintenance on via Montegrappa, via Montenero, and via Redipuglia. Further repairs on via Senese are expected from Acque in October.

From September 9 to September 11, maintenance will move to via Sardelli. During this period, transit and parking will be prohibited on via Sardelli and parts of via Goito and via Castelfidardo between 8:00 and 18:00. The project will proceed in stages starting from piazza Mazzini, with temporary closures of via Vallepiatta potentially required during the final phase near the intersection with via Suali.

Public Works Councilor Fabio Carrozzino stated that these investments are necessary to address the most urgent road needs and that the administration is working to minimize local disruptions.
