Poggibonsi opposition criticizes local security policies

In Poggibonsi, opposition member Gozzi of Fratelli d'Italia (FdI) has accused the local majority for failing to address urban decay and public security. Gozzi claims the administration has rejected opposition proposals to increase video surveillance and lighting, dismissing them as unnecessary before later reversing positions.

The criticism extends to the effectiveness of current security measures. Gozzi argued that the municipal police's mobile command unit is insufficient due to limited operating hours and geographic coverage, noting its absence in the Staggia area during critical times. The opposition further characterized the administration's reliance on preventive measures, such as murals and workshops, as inadequate for addressing real security concerns.
