Poggibonsi to install three automated public restrooms

The city of Poggibonsi will install three new automated, self-cleaning public restrooms in strategic locations over the coming weeks. The project involves an investment exceeding 200,000 euros through a seven-year rental agreement that includes supply, transport, installation, and continuous maintenance.

The facilities will be located in the historic center (at the end of via della Repubblica), in the market area of Piazza Nilde Iotti, and in the Salceto area at the Largo Campidoglio parking lot near the bridge.

Designed for intensive use, the structures feature wear-resistant materials and automated cleaning systems to ensure hygiene. Vice Mayor Fabio Carrozzino noted that the intervention addresses frequent citizen requests. All three units will be fully accessible to people with disabilities to promote urban inclusivity.
