Poggio a Caiano driver fined for using deceased relative's disability permit

Local police in Poggio a Caiano have fined a resident for using a disability parking permit that belonged to a deceased relative. The driver was using the permit to occupy reserved parking spaces without authorization.

In addition to the permit fraud, local authorities reported several other traffic enforcement actions. Since July, four drivers have been caught using mobile phones while driving, resulting in fines and the loss of five license points.

Police Commander Ilaria Di Teodoro noted that patrols have been intensified following citizen complaints regarding illegal parking and traffic violations, particularly in the historic center. Officers are also monitoring heavy vehicle access on Via Cioppi to alleviate traffic congestion caused by recent changes to the local road network.
