Poggio Bagnoli: Organized group fails in attempted raid on LMP facility

A group of criminals attempted a highly organized raid on the LMP facility in Poggio Bagnoli, located in the Arezzo gold district, during the night of September 10-11. The group utilized stolen vehicles and employed tactics designed to hinder pursuit, including spreading nails on the roads and felling large oak trees to block access routes.

To breach the perimeter, the perpetrators used an off-road vehicle as a battering ram against the first gate. However, the operation failed when the group encountered a second gate and triggered the perimeter alarm system. Private security and Carabinieri patrols responded to the site, prompting the criminals to flee in a stolen Fiat Panda. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to identify the group members and determine if the attack is linked to other criminal activities in the region.
