Sardinia regional council sees formation of Pd-Progressisti group

In Sardinia, the Partito Democratico (PD) and the Progressisti have officially merged to form the ‘Pd-Progressisti’ group within the regional council. This unification, communicated to Council President Piero Comandini, increases the PD group from 11 to 13 members. Group leader Roberto Deriu described the move as a ‘common home’ intended to strengthen the center-left alliance and simplify dialogue within the majority. The merger follows a decision made during the Progressisti congress last December.
