Wieczysta Kraków has officially appointed Croatian manager Željko Kopić as the new head coach of its first team. Kopić, a UEFA Pro license holder, succeeds Kazimierz Moskal following a recent loss in the Kraków derby.

Kopić signed a contract through the end of the 2026/2027 season, which includes an option for a one-year extension. He brings extensive experience from clubs in Croatia, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Romania, most recently serving as the manager of Dinamo București, where he was highly regarded for stabilizing the club and securing a fourth-place finish.

The appointment comes as the newly promoted Ekstraklasa side struggles near the bottom of the table. Kopić is expected to make his debut in the upcoming derby against Wisła Kraków. In addition to the coaching change, the club has also strengthened its squad with the signing of Greek striker Efthymios Koulouris, who cited the club's ambitious project and financial stability as key factors in his decision to join.
