Pogoń Szczecin owner Alex Haditaghi faces criticism over management style

Alex Haditaghi, the owner of the Polish football club Pogoń Szczecin, is facing criticism for his aggressive management style and influence within the Polish football structures, including the PZPN.

Former player Tomasz Frankowski has publicly criticized Haditaghi’s approach, noting his tendency to confront various football officials and club executives. The owner’s recent transfer activities have also sparked tension; specifically, the acquisition of top scorer Jordi Sanchez led Wisła Kraków to file a complaint with the League Commission, alleging unethical behavior during the transfer process.

In addition to administrative friction, Haditaghi has engaged in heated public exchanges with supporters. Responding to a fan's inquiry regarding the signing of a new attacking midfielder, Haditaghi dismissed the suggestion, stating the club would not waste money to satisfy critics on social media. He emphasized that the club maintains a large squad and will only sign players who provide proven improvement.
