Pohang Nambu Police strengthen cooperation to find missing persons

The Pohang Nambu Police Station held a regional public safety cooperation meeting on the 29th to strengthen efforts for the rapid discovery of missing persons. The meeting included representatives from approximately 20 local organizations and government bodies, such as Pohang City Hall, Nam-gu Office, and the fire department, as well as private entities like the post office and local transport companies.

Participants discussed establishing emergency contact networks to ensure the ‘golden time’ is secured during missing person cases. The discussion also focused on practical support for search operations, including potential local government assistance for civilian search teams operating in mountainous or nighttime environments, and the development of institutional support through local ordinances.
