Point Clare car crash kills teenage boy
A teenage boy has died following a vehicle accident on Alukea Avenue at Point Clare on the Central Coast. Emergency services responded to the scene just before 2:30 am on Monday, September 14.
According to Brisbane Water police, a Mazda sedan left the roadway at a bend on a rail overpass, landed in the rail corridor, and rolled. A teenage passenger was rushed to Gosford Hospital, where he was confirmed dead upon arrival.
A second passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in serious condition. The driver, also an 18-year-old woman, was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory testing under police guard.
The specialist Crash Investigation Unit has established a crime scene to determine the circumstances of the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
