Poio renovates 719 street signs to improve public space

The municipality of Poio has completed the renewal of 719 identification signs across the region as part of an initiative to improve public spaces and urban image. The project involved replacing illegible or damaged signs, particularly in the parish of San Salvador, and addressing streets that previously lacked signage altogether.

Beyond simple replacement, the plan included a review of street and plaza names to establish a common model for better orientation for both residents and visitors. Significant repair work was also conducted on sign supports, with 35% of the municipality's supports requiring intervention due to paint deterioration or structural instability. The most intensive work took place during the summer months, with the highest number of repairs concentrated in the parish of San Xoán.
