Poissy officials lobby PSG to build new stadium in the city

Local officials in Poissy are intensifying lobbying efforts to convince Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to build its future stadium within the city. In a formal letter addressed to PSG General Manager Victoriano Melero and regional authorities, leaders including Yvelines Department President Pierre Bédier, Grand Paris Seine & Oise President Cécile Zammit-Popescu, and Poissy Mayor Sandrine Berno Dos Santos expressed a unified vision for the project.

The proposal suggests utilizing land from the automotive manufacturer Stellantis to create a multi-site complex, building upon the club’s existing training center in Poissy. The vision includes an 80,000-seat stadium and a 20,000-seat arena, intended to serve as an international destination. The project, which aims for an inauguration around 2035, could potentially create a unique density of club facilities in Europe.

PSG is currently weighing several options, including purchasing the Parc des Princes or building in Poissy or Massy. The club expects to reach a decision regarding the location of its new stadium by the end of 2026.
