Pokemon GO introduces Mega Evolutions to Great League and raids

Pokemon GO has introduced Mega Evolutions into the Great League PvP format, allowing trainers to use Mega-Evolved Pokemon within the 1,500 CP cap. Effective team compositions for this mode include combinations such as Mega Sableye, Ninetales, and Tinkaton, or Mega Altaria, Forretress, and Mimikyu. Corviknight is noted as a strong option due to its Flying/Steel typing, which provides ten resistances.

Additionally, Mega Raichu X is available in raids. As a mono Electric-type, it is primarily weak to Ground-type moves. Recommended counters for raids include Mega Garchomp, Shadow Groudon, Shadow Garchomp, Shadow Excadrill, and Landorus Therian Forme. The shiny version of Mega Raichu X has a base encounter rate of 1/64 during raids, though this can increase to 1/10 during specific events.
