Pokemon marks 30th anniversary with Singapore fun run and new collectible card pack

The Pokemon Company has launched a 30th‑anniversary website covering seven Asian cities – Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong and Taipei – to coordinate regional celebrations. In Singapore, the site announced Pokemon RUN 30, a 4 km fun run scheduled for 7‑8 November at Kallang. Participants choose a classic starter Pokémon, navigate a gym‑style obstacle course, visit hydration stations and finish at a Festival Zone featuring franchise history exhibits, TCG and Switch game displays, photo spots and a pop‑up Pokemon Center store. Runners receive a themed T‑shirt, drawstring bag, bib and may also receive a Pikachu plushie or a booster pack, while the Festival Zone is free for all. The anniversary also includes increased wild Pokémon encounters and timed research events for Pokémon Go players.

Separately, The Pokemon Company announced a global launch of a special "30th Celebration" Pokémon Trading Card Game booster pack, set to hit stores on 16 September 2026. The set introduces a new "Futuristic Rare" (FUR) category designed by Japanese illustrator Yoshirotten, includes 30 distinct holographic Pikachu cards, and revisits historic cards such as the original Charizard and Pikachu & Zekrom GX. The product aims to combine modern artistic flair with nostalgia for long‑time collectors.
