Pokemon TCG announces 30th Celebration release and new card reveals

The Pokemon Company is preparing for the global release of the Pokemon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration on September 16. In anticipation of the launch, new card designs have been revealed, including the Kanto Legendary Birds—Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos—as well as additional Pikachu promotional cards. The collection will feature a new rarity tier known as “Futuristic Rare” and includes 30 different Pikachu glitter cards illustrated by various artists.

In Japan, the retailer Sanyodo has announced a lottery sale for anniversary products starting August 19. The lottery includes the “30th CELEBRATION” expansion pack and the “30th CELEBRATION Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon.” Applications are open until September 1, with winners announced on September 11. Due to high demand, winners must provide identification to complete their purchases at designated stores.
