ryo (supercell) releases new Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku music videos

The collaborative musical project ‘Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE High↑’ has released two new music videos produced by ryo of supercell. The tracks, titled ‘1996’ and ‘LEGENDS’, are part of a larger initiative celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.

‘1996’ features a story concept developed by ryo and Machigeleta, depicting children on an adventure to complete their Pokédex and find the mythical Pokémon Mew. The music video was directed by Shunsuke Takai and produced by BLUE RIGHTS, with animation by Studio Hare. The title refers to the year the original Pokémon games were released.

‘LEGENDS’, released shortly before ‘1996’, is inspired by ‘Pokémon Legends Z-A’ and features Hatsune Miku performing in a studio setting alongside Pokémon such as Toxtricity and Rillaboom. The project, which began in August 2023, continues to expand its collection of songs and illustrations through various creators in the Vocaloid scene.
