Pokémon Card Sales Surge on Mercado Libre Chile

Sales of Pokémon collectible cards on Mercado Libre Chile have accelerated dramatically in 2026, posting a near‑70% increase in the fourth quarter compared with the same period in 2025. The franchise now accounts for roughly half of the platform’s total collectible‑card market, and overall sales have quadrupled in just two years.

Traffic to the cards category has risen more than 81% over the past two years, with May 2026 recorded as the platform’s best month for visits and transactions. Camila Cembrano, commercial director of Mercado Libre Chile, said the e‑commerce ecosystem offers collectors a wide selection, secure transactions and fast delivery, fueling an inter‑generational demand from young newcomers and nostalgic adults alike. The platform has become a central hub for specialized stores, competitive players and collectors seeking not only cards but also accessories such as protective sleeves, storage binders, figures and plush toys.
